Come kick off the Christmas season at this FREE EVENT and enjoy Christmas music, time together, and encouragement from the word. Details are available at calvaryboise.com.

MERCY TREE – Mercy Tree is an opportunity to minister to families in need within our church and local community by providing Christmas gifts for children. If your family is in need of assistance this Christmas, please visit calvaryboise.com to apply. We are taking applications now through November 25. If you’d like to help by purchasing a gift, visit calvaryboise.com after November 25 to view and choose from a list of needs. We know that this year there are many who are especially in need, and this is a great opportunity to help bring a little bit of joy at Christmas.

THANKSGIVING WEEK – Because of the holiday next week, we want you to be aware of some meetings that will be taking the week off. Our offices and campus will be closed, so we will not be meeting for Wednesday night communion, or Thursday and Friday morning prayer. In addition, Middle School Youth Group, Words of Freedom, and High School Youth Group will take the week off. For a listing of events that are still meeting, visit the events page of calvaryboise.com.

Registration for this Sunday is closed, and pre-registration is required, so be sure to click on the link in the email that will come your way on Sunday to get your kids signed up for next weekend. Because of the holiday, we’re sending it out early, so be sure to keep an eye out.

In addition to pre-registration, here are a few of the extra precautions we are taking right now:

  • Temperature checks before entering

  • Limited class sizes
  • Increased sanitization and hand washing
  • We are asking anyone with symptoms of illness to stay home.

Online registration will be available each week until 12:00AM on Thursday morning, or when it fills up, whichever comes first. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2020

Watch this video from Pastor Tucker and Pastor Rhett for some exciting news.

As we continue to reintroduce some of the ways we connect as a church family, the next thing on the list is Kids’ Ministry. Beginning Sunday, September 20, we will have kids classes for children pre-kindergarten and younger during our 11:15AM service. Please read through the details listed below.

Additionally, if you didn’t receive this update via email, be sure to text the word “connect” to 208-321-7440 to sign up to receive future information as it is released.

PRECAUTIONS:

In order to prioritize the safety of all who participate, we will require that all volunteers and kids ages three and older wear masks. Additionally, we will be practicing social distancing as much as possible. We have modified some of our activities to allow for interaction without close physical proximity. Although this will be a little different than it has been in the past, we are confident that we will be able to serve and love the kids who attend.

REGISTRATION:

To streamline preparation, we will be requiring parents to pre-register their kids. We will not be able to accommodate walk-ins. With that in mind, we will send out an email on Monday containing the link to the following weekend’s kids ministry registration for nursery through Pre-K. Class sizes are limited, so be sure to fill that out right away. Registration will close on Thursday morning, or when classes are full, whichever comes first.

VOLUNTEERS:

A lot of you have been asking how you can get involved in serving at our church, and this is a great opportunity to do just that. In order to serve our kids with excellence, we will need people to help in each classroom, as well as in other areas. If you are new to serving in Kids Ministry, please join us for an orientation this Sunday, September 13 at 1:00PM in the Sanctuary. If you are unable to attend, click here to get signed up for the next orientation.

In addition to kids ministry, there are other upcoming opportunities to get involved at Calvary Boise. You’ll find details on a few of them, as well as a listing of what’s happening during the week, in the information below.

Baptism – On Sunday, October 11, we will be having baptisms at our 9:15AM and 11:15AM services. If you haven’t yet made a public proclamation of your faith in Jesus, we’d love to have you participate. Visit calvaryboise.com or the Calvary Boise app for more information and get on the schedule.

Women’s Bible Studies – Our new Women’s Bible Studies will begin the week of September 21. Our topics include the faithfulness of God, overcoming fear and anxiety, deepening your relationship with Jesus, a study of the first 11 chapters of Genesis, and a study of the book of John. Because child care is not available at this time, we have in-person and online Bible study options. Find more info at calvaryboise.com/womensministry.
