THURSDAY, JULY 2, 2020 - MORNING

Please take a few minutes to watch the following video update from Pastor Tucker.

The following is an update regarding this weekend’s services and a few upcoming events for Calvary Boise.

WEEKEND SERVICES:

Thank you to all of you who read and honored the notice that went out last week regarding watching online. Although we love gathering together in person, we have been praying that God would bless the smaller gatherings that are happening as a result of social distancing.

This Sunday, July 5, 2020, we would like to encourage you to continue to gather with friends, with your Home Group, or host a watch party, and join us online.

We will again have limited seating in a few different locations on campus for on-site services, and would like to make those seats available to people who are new or visiting, don’t have people to watch with, and those who don’t receive our updates. However, based on last week’s attendance, it looks like we’ll have some empty seats at each service. So, if you or your family would prefer to meet on-site, or if you weren’t able to get a group together, join us on campus. We will be welcoming people in until we reach the capacity that has been deemed safe for our spaces.

  • Livestream: Sunday at 9:15am on calvaryboise.com, Facebook, and YouTube
  • On-Site Family Services: Sunday at 9:15AM and 11:15AM (limited seating, and no kids classes provided)

In addition to limiting the size of our gatherings while practicing social distancing, in order to care for others we will continue to strongly encourage any attendees to wear a face mask. Remember, if you are immunocompromised or at high risk, please stay home.

As always, if you or any member of your household is showing symptoms, or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive in the past two weeks, please stay home.

FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 2020

Knowing that plans are ever-evolving regarding reopening, we would like to give you updated information about what is going on this week at Calvary Boise, event updates, and a ministry update.

WEEKEND SERVICES:

This Sunday, June 21, 2020, we will have in-person services at 9:15AM and 11:15AM. In addition, we will continue our livestream at 9:15AM. Our in-person gatherings will be family services, and we will not provide kids or student ministries. To allow for proper disinfecting procedures in the Sanctuary, we will be asking those who attend the 9:15AM service to exit promptly at the end of service.

This Sunday’s services will follow the same guidelines as last week regarding social distancing, limited seating capacity, and other precautions. You can view the list in the June 12 update at calvaryboise.com/coronavirus.

In addition to our weekend gatherings, additional connection opportunities will continue to be available through Calvary Boise Online. We will also continue our Kids Time and Student Hangouts online. Visit calvaryboise.com/online for a listing.

EVENT UPDATES:

  • Food Pantry Drive - Thank you to all of you who helped with the Food Pantry Drive last week. Due to the generosity of donors and volunteers, this event was a huge success! We were able to fill more than 100 food bags, which we will soon begin to distribute to those in need in our community.
  • FiftyTwo.Four - Registration for FiftyTwo.Four is now open. You can take part in running four half-marathons in four weeks in October to raise money for kids affected by HIV/AIDS in India. Over the past 12 years, this ministry has raised more than one million dollars and has provided for vital needs for these kids. Join FiftyTwo.Four on Monday, June 22 for an informational meeting via Zoom. Visit fiftytwofour.org to get the link.
  • Wednesday Night Live – A Conversation on Race & Justice, Part 2 - This Wednesday, June 24 at 7:00PM in the Calvary Boise Sanctuary, Pastor Reggie will be partnering with long-time friend Pastor Kirk Crager from Faith Community Bible Church, to host the second session of a special discussion: “Wednesday Night Live – A Conversation on Race & Justice." We hope you will join the conversation! More details at calvaryboise.com.

MINISTRY UPDATE:

  • New Again Thrift Store - As you may have already seen, it has been decided that New Again Thrift Store will remain closed permanently. To those of you who have served as volunteers and employees, we are thankful for the countless hours you have spent loving and caring for our community through New Again over the past 11 years. Your commitment to faithfully serve each person who walked through those doors is inspiring. We are also thankful for how our church family has supported New Again by donating used goods and shopping there. We will continue using the parking lot and are still processing new ways to repurpose the space that was New Again. It could be used to provide additional space for filming, Student Ministries, or smaller gatherings. In the meantime, we will be sorting through the inventory, selling what we can, giving to the needy in our community, and donating to other thrift stores, like The Arc. We’ll communicate any information regarding store hours and sales online.

We look forward to meeting with many of you in-person this Sunday, as well as connecting with many of you online. In the meantime, we would love to be able to pray for you. If you have prayer requests, please send them to prayer@calvaryboise.com.

Please continue praying with and for our leadership as they seek the Lord for His direction regarding next steps for our church.
