THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3

The guys enjoyed their time at Man Camp this weekend, and we're looking forward to having everyone back together this Sunday. This was a great reminder of how encouraging and valuable it can be to take part in opportunities that come up to learn and grow together in smaller settings.

Let’s unite as one to offer our prayers to our Father in Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit. Grow in confidence in prayer, and help disciple others in intercession. Child care is not available for this event.

Join us next Fri, Oct 11 at 6:00PM for the 4th Annual Worship Release Party. We'll have a time of worship, Christian hip hop, and the gospel message. To top it all off, we'll end the night with baptisms. FREE ADMISSION for all ages. Doors open at 5:30PM.

If you are interested in volunteering in Kids Ministry, join us Sun, Oct 13 at 12:45PM in Preschool-100 for a volunteer orientation.We’ll provide training, information, and materials. If you can’t make the training but would like to volunteer, email kids@calvaryboise.com.

During the Unfiltered conference, real women just like us will discuss real issues that we all deal with. You’ll even have the opportunity to ask questions. We have quite a few opportunities coming up for anyone who would like to make connections within our church family, grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord, and help spread the Gospel.

Happening this Saturday! This event is for women who want to make salsa and lasting friendships with women in different seasons of life. Bring your own knives, cutting boards, and salsa ingredients. Equipping people through practical biblical instruction, with the skills to work through life-controlling addictions. Words of Freedom meets Thursdays at 7:00PM in the Lobby.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 22

Church in the Park is this Sunday! You guys know this is one of my favorite things we do as a church. I love to watch the kids running around having so much fun, and seeing the connections between the adults in our church is such a blessing. I hope to see our whole church family together. More info is listed below, and you can click on the image for even more details. Don't forget to bring a side dish or dessert to share!

For those of you who are planning to get baptized, you don't need to sign up. There will be a time near the end of the service when you will have the opportunity to come to the front to receive prayer, then we'll all head to the river together to celebrate with you. Please take a few minutes to go through the What is Baptism? document. This will help bring clarity to what the Bible says about baptism, before you head down to Church in the Park.

Join us this Wednesday, August 28 at 6:30PM for a Spirit-filled night of musical worship and communion. Our hope is to curate a space for us all to slow down, worship, pray, and meet with God. We hope to see you during this special time as a church family.

Join us Sat, Aug 31 for a chance to get to know the residents in elderly care facilities as you and your family join them in making a Bible-themed craft project. It's a fun way to spend an afternoon and it means so much to the residents, many of whom don’t get many visitors. All are welcome. Click the image for details.

Monday, August 12 at 7:00PM. A parent care ministry to come alongside parents with children who struggle with gender or sexuality. As you do your best to balance truth and grace with your child, this monthly meeting will provide prayer, support, encouragement, and resources.

The goal of Boys Camp is to help at-risk boys understand the love of God. This event is offered at no cost to the boys who attend, and is staffed by background-checked Christian men who volunteer their time. Vacation Bible School starts on Monday! This event is so much fun for the kids of our church family, and a great opportunity to invite their friends and neighbors who don't know Jesus. Wed, July 17 is Zoo Day at Zoo Boise. Drop off is at 2:00PM and pick up at 5:00PM at Julia Davis Park. Each student needs to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and $5 for entrance. Note: Pick up will be an hour earlier than normal and we will NOT have youth group because of Vacation Bible School happening on campus.

Happy Fourth of July! While we all celebrate with our friends and family, let's take some time to thank the Lord that we live in a place where we are free to worship Him, and pray for our country and our leaders.

THURSDAY, JUNE 27

Fourth of July is next Thursday, and because of that we have some schedule changes. First, Wednesday night service is on break for the week, including kids classes. Middle School FAT Wednesday will still be happening, and you can see those details below.

Additionally, the church campus will be closed all day Thursday, so be sure to plan accordingly.

Join us Sundays at 10:45AM as we spend intentional time praying for the Underground Church and refugees in the Middle East. This has proven to be a powerful time of gathering in unity to pray for our brothers and sisters who are facing extreme difficulties because of their faith in Jesus. Beginning July 7 we’ll meet in Preschool-108.

Middle Schoolers, join us this Wednesday for a scavenger hunt. We’ll meet at Julia Davis Park at 2:00PM, and pickup will be at 8:00PM. FAT Wednesday is a great way to meet new friends and stay plugged in to what is happening with the youth ministry while school is out.

What a wonderful time we had together on Sunday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. Our 40 Days of Prayer leading up to Easter and our Week of Prayer and Fasting during Holy Week provided focused time to seek God's face, and God has been at work.

Easter is this Sunday! This week has been a sweet time of contemplating the final week of the life of Jesus before His crucifixion and resurrection, and praying and fasting as a church family. We'll also gather tomorrow night at 6:30PM for our Good Friday service to commemorate the death of Jesus on the cross.

Holy Week begins this Sunday! That means next week contains a bunch of opportunities to contemplate the final week of the life of Jesus before His crucifixion and resurrection, and to pray and fast as a church family. We are looking forward to this time together.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 29

Today marks the end of February, which means Easter Sunday is right around the corner! The Resurrection of Jesus is the greatest event in human history, and it deserves the biggest celebration. While we are working on event preparations, we are also digging in to one of the amazing gifts we have as a result of the resurrection, which is direct access to God in prayer. We've been gathering on Thursday mornings to go through the Lord's Prayer and really learn from Jesus' example.

This time set aside to focus more on prayer has been incredible, and we're only halfway through. Pastor Noah sat down with Jessica Guadalupe today and talk through some of the things that were discussed at this morning's prayer meeting. You can watch that video below.

JuniorSml2 Join us Sat, Jan 27 at 9:00AM in a time of remembrance of Junior Ramos, who passed away Dec 28. He came to our church in the Summer of 2022 with a broken heart and no hope. In August 2022, he gave his life to Jesus. This will be a time of fellowship over breakfast, a short time in the word, and sharing about Junior. Please RSVP to let us know if you will attend.

Join us Sat, Jan 27 in an elderly care facility. You and your kids will have the chance to get to know the residents as you join them in making a Bible-themed craft project. I apologize for sending this update a day late. I've been working on quite a bit of Christmas prep this week, and the time got away from me.

Part of the prep was getting information together to send to you of all the activities and events coming up for our church family in December, leading up to Christmas. You'll receive an insert in your bulletin on Sunday, or you can click here to view it online.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9

As we head into the weekend, please be in prayer for the youth of our valley. The past few weeks have been very difficult, with several students taking their own lives, and most recently an incident at a Boise school that was stopped by law enforcement before it could escalate.

As a church family, we have the opportunity to be there for our youth in many ways. Most importantly, please pray that the God of all comfort would comfort these kids in their troubles (2 Corinthians 1:3), and that He would use us to minister to them as they sort through all of this. Additionally, we can let the students in our lives know how loved and important they are. Let's commit to making the effort to acknowledging and encouraging our youth whenever we have the opportunity to do so.

Auditions for this year's Kids Christmas Program will take place this Sunday, November 12 at 12:45PM in Preschool-100. These auditions are for kids ages 3rd-5th grade, and the performance will be Wed, Dec 13 at 6:30PM. For details emailkids@calvaryboise.com.

If you are a single mom, join us the third Friday of the month in the Youth Building. We’ll share a meal, connect with each other, spend time in the Word, and encourage one another.

The Bible paints the picture of intergenerational community where older saints can use their gifts and build a gospel legacy. If you are an empty nester or older, join us to eat lunch and discuss opportunities for God to continue to use you.

To help, you can drop non-perishable items in the bins in the Lobbies during business hours and at Sunday services. We currently need chili, peanut butter, canned fruit, soup, mac and cheese, tuna, and spaghetti sauce.
