May 14 Prayer Requests

May 14, 2017

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." -Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Sharing truth about God with the next generation has been vital since God spoke these words to Moses. Today, Children's Ministry Pastor Rhett Allen teaches at Calvary Boise aboutn the importance of sharing what God's done for us--especially with children and teens. God gives each of us a good testimony. Today, please pray for Pastor Rhett, the Sunday services and while you're at it, praise God for your own faith-building experiences. Also lift up these requests from our church family.

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Adam and Inkham (pronounced ‘income’) are experiencing marital problems. Pray God will provide scholarship for them to attend “Weekend to Remember”. It will change their marriage.

  • As many of you know we prayed for man named Greg who was in and out of the hospital and rehab facilities for a very long time. He went home to be with the Lord a few weeks ago. His family really appreciated our prayers and now ask that we continue to pray for God’s peace and strength for Greg’s wife Sandy and their sons Jon, Joshua and Caleb.

  • An anonymous believer shares that “after 16 years of praying for my dad, he is willing for us to pray that he meets Christ and accepts Him. Please continue to pray more for my dad to say ‘yes’ as Jesus is knocking on the door of his heart.”

  • Please pray for Craig who has cancer. Chemotherapy did not work and his doctor is now trying an experimental treatment. Please pray for his recovery and also that this experience will draw him closer to the Lord.

  • A divorced dad asks us to pray for his son who sneaks out in the middle of the night to meet up with girls whenever he stays at his mother’s house. Pray that the son will develop a relationship with Jesus and abandon this behavior. Until then pray that both the mom and dad have an abundance of wisdom in dealing with their son. (Mom is in a new relationship.)

  • Please pray for Brian and Tristan and their son William to find a place to live and that God will use this situation to reveal His love and provision for this young couple and their child.

  • An anonymous request asks that we join in “praying that I will put away fear and walk in the Spirit.”
