Prayer

Daily Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for a couple in the Reno/Sparks area to be strengthened in marriage.

  • Please pray that our son in law can soon find a job that will provide for their family. Also pray for the emotional well being of the rest of the family.  They are believers.  Thank you.

  • Please give Galen amazing results on Tuesday with only great news of his total health from the gastro doctor and the hematologist. Thank You Jesus! Appreciate your bold prayers for Galen and for no more issues. We trust and believe.  Praise God! Love you all!

  • Another update on my two sister's friend Paul: Praise the Lord! Paul is doing great. He is moving all his fingers, toes, arms, and legs. He opened his eyes and looked at us He squeezed my hand, hard. Today, they want to remove the tube, but they have to establish an alternative breathing pathway first. After that, they can wake him all the way up.

  • Please pray for me as I’ve been getting a lot of nausea and pain several hours after I eat. I am afraid to go to the doctor unnecessarily since I don’t have insurance and I finally got out of debt recently.

  • As a church family, Calvary Boise is involved in supporting several mission efforts around the world. One of the families that we support is the Brown family. Marlon and Becca and their five children live in Vancouver, Canada—one of North America’s most diverse cities—where they fulfill their fervent desire to reach a lost world with the Good News of Jesus.

THE NEED: Becca deals with chronic pain from a previous injury, and they have faced various treatments throughout the years to help combat it. The next step is a surgery this Monday, September 11. The machine in her spine that helps block the pain she feels has burned out and they are replacing it with a new one.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: We have the opportunity as a church family to bless them by helping provide some meals leading up to the surgery and during Becca's recovery. Unfortunately, our traditional ways to send meals (Take Them a Meal, Meal Train, etc) don't have options to send meals to Canada from the US. Because of that, the simplest way to get them meals is to make a donation on their page on our website, all of which will go directly to them. The Browns have friends who are currently in their area who are able to do grocery shopping and some cooking for them, as well as picking up takeout.

If you'd like to support them in this way, click here to donate online, and be sure to put “groceries” in the Notes field.

PLEASE PRAY: More than anything, please be praying for Becca and her precious family. Pray for a successful surgery, quick healing, and relief of pain for Becca, and for grace for Marlon and the kids as they keep up the pace of everyday life while also caring for Becca during her recovery. And pray for peace for their hearts leading up to the surgery.  Thank you for being a church family that is so willing to come alongside each other in prayer. We know the Brown family is thankful to be a part of the Lord's work at Calvary Boise, and they are so grateful for the prayers and support.
