Prayer

DAILY PRAYER REQUESTS

I do not pray not that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.   John 17:15.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word.  John17: 20, 21.

As long as we live on Earth we'll confront all kinds of evil. Our God is faithful. He never leaves us. We, however, too often blink when we should be looking straight at Him. The bright, shiny distractions of life suck us into foolish pursuits and idle pastimes. Jesus knew all about Facebook and binge watching when He walked through Galilee. His prayer for the disciples is echoed through the ages. Today, will we join Him in asking that we, too, are kept from the evil one? Will we pursue His plan for our lives? Will we live to bring Him glory?
If all that sounds too hard, remember you don't have to grunt and groan to become more spiritual. It's God who works in us, to will and to do what is in our best interests. So, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you. Pray for His protection. Ask for His wisdom. He does not disappoint.

 Prayer Requests

  • Please keep praying for Mary Jo. She is back from the Mayo Clinic. Doctors there determined that her health issues are more complicated than previously thought. She will need at least three surgeries in the next few months to deal with intestinal and colon problems and she also is now having kidney issues. It is very difficult for her to put on any weight and she is very weak. Pray that she will be able to get treated soon. Pray too for her elderly husband who has not yet accepted Jesus and who relies upon her for all the household responsibilities.

  • Please pray for our governments to do no harm to people.
