DAILY PRAYER REQUESTS

With my whole heart I seek you. Psalm 119:10.

When we love people deeply our hearts long for them. So it should be with our Lord Jesus. He is so good and kind, so loving and helpful, it makes sense for us to give Him our undivided devotion and attention. But that's not always how life works. Often we put foolish wants and wasteful pursuits far above our desire to spend time meditating on Him and His perfect will. Today, as you pray, focus on knowing Him better. He will reveal Himself to all who seek Him above all else.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for Mariah who is fighting two kinds of very aggressive cancer. She is only 27-years-old and a mother. Pray for a miraculous healing.

  • Please pray for Jade. She recently missed a court date so she in now in jail and the authorities are seeking her deportation. They will slip her five children. The kids are all scared and acting out. She just had a baby in November and is still dealing with hormonal issues. She asks that we pray that God strengthens her faith as she gets through all of this. Also pray for the children to be protected and to find themselves in a place where they will learn about Jesus.

  • Benjamin, who is incarcerated, asks that we praise God with him because right now addiction no longer rules his life and he has God in his heart. Please pray that God will help him understand the Bible more and stay clean and sober.

  • Continue to pray for Addie Abernathy, a four-year old cancer victim, who has been given a very poor prognosis. Ask that God will heal her as only He can and that her family will be strengthened and comforted at this time.

  • Please pray for the Calvary Boise office staff to be in good health and have lots of energy at this very busy time of year. Praise God that the Mercy Tree requests have all been fulfilled. This is the first time in at least five years that staff members have not had to “go shopping” to make sure every need was met. Praise God for the generous hearts of our church family members.

The following is an anonymous requests:

  • A man asks that we please pray for his marriage and that his wife will love him again. “My wife wants a divorce because she has lost passion and love for me. I pushed God away and wasn’t being the man she deserves. I did not have an affair or harm her in any way, but wasn’t the loving husband I needed to be."

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us, and if we know that He hears us, we know we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. - I John 5:14-15
