Daily Devotional

Let my prayer be set before You as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.  Psalm141:2-3.

This Old Testament Psalm reflects a heart pleading for acceptance before God. Today, believers may turn that desperate attitude into a hymn of praise. We thank our Lord  because we've believed in Christ and are therefore welcomed into God's family. The price for our sins has been paid and our admission to the presence of God is assured. Yet, our sins can still alter the efficiency of our prayers. The human tendency to chatter about issues that burden our soul can erode our faith in God's ability to handle things without human intervention. Grumbling conversation too often amplifies problems instead of eliminating them. So, no matter how heavy your load pray through the details instead of talking about them. Trust that God can and will prevail to meet your deepest need.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for a Christian woman who has fallen away from God’s plan for her life and is trying to find satisfaction in a relationship with a married man. Ask that the scales will be removed from her eyes and that she will see she is heading for another disappointment caused by her own failure to wait for God’s perfect plan for her.

  • Please pray for Aaron, an alcoholic in recovery.  Please pray that God watches over him and helps Him stay sober as he continue to live for Him.

  •  Pray for home groups to build great bonds of fellowship and deep friendships.

  • Pray for the Smith family to be blessed.

  • We received this anonymous request from a believer with what seems to be an Asian last name. (No additional contact info was provided.) Pray that this person is well grounded in the truth of Romans 8:1 “that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.” Pray too for his or her specific requests. God understands the details. Prayer Request : "Please pray that God can help me not to lose my salvation and my job in the Administration Wing, so that I can continue to preach the gospel (Jesus crucified), sorry and thank you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, A-Men."

  • Please pray for Adele who is searching for the truth. Pray that her journey to the Cross is short and that she is soon saved and used for the good of the kingdom.

  • Please pray that God will give us a Spirit of Repentance throughout our church body so we are cleansed and made righteous in the eyes of God and may go boldly to the throne of God. Now is the time to pray like true warriors for the Kingdom of Heaven. Think Big. Pray Big. Because God is bigger than all of this sinful world. This message is from the Lord. Share all this with the body of  Christ.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us, and if we know that He hears us, we know we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. - I John 5:14-15
