Prayer

Daily Prayer Requests

  • Thank you for praying for me. When I’ve asked before, God’s always answered. Please pray I’d know how to interact and make healthy boundaries with my family. I want to have that happy family life where you have fun Christmas times and holidays, but every person in my family is a drug addict, alcoholic, or has mental health issues that they won’t deal with. Then there’s the whole abuse thing too. I really don’t know what to do. They say they want happy times, but then they treat me and my husband so badly that we’ve had to limit time with them. Now I’m wondering if we’ll have to cut it off altogether. I think it’s the only thing I can do, but I feel so guilty about letting them go.

  • My husband, just found out today that he will need to get a biopsy of his prostate on December 10.  We are trusting the Lord for negative results.

  • Pray for plans to visit son in Navy, Dec. 6th. Pray for COVID testing to be smooth for travel. Pray for him as he prepares for deployment in January.

  • Please pray for our missionaries to Canada, Marlon and Becca Brown who sent the following updates and prayer requests:

    • House Churches- We transitioned into 2 house churches the first Sunday in October. So far things are going well, and we are excited to minister more to our new community in North Burnaby. Pray for both churches, that we would grow and develop as the Lord desires.

    • Women’s Breakfast - Becca will be restarting our Women’s Breakfast event for the first time since COVID began. Pray for wisdom and grace for her as she leads. Pray that their time together in the Word and in fellowship would be powerful.

    • Calvary Chapel Canada Conference - I am helping organize and speak at our first ever CGN Canada Conference. The conference will be for all the Calvary’s across Canada. It will be hosted in Calgary this year, but we will move it to a new location each year. Pray for all the details to come together. Pray that all of the various pastors and church leaders would attend (some COVID restrictions can make traveling even across Canada difficult). Pray that all who attend would be edified, refreshed, and reignited to preach the gospel.

    • Youth Ministry- we want to turn our garage into a Youth Space. We want to create a space for kids to hang out after school, and for our youth group to meet. Pray for financial provision and some with remodeling skills that can help us.

    • New Passports for the Kids- In order to complete our PR (Permanent Resident) applications we need to get new passport books for all of our kids, because they currently have passport cards. This was a surprise expense and one we were not prepared to pay. Pray for extra financial provision this month.
