This conference will shed light on the teachings of Islam and provide guidance on how to engage the Muslim community among us with truth, love, and grace. In recent years the Boise area has experienced an inflow of Muslim refugees, which has provided us all with opportunities to connect with Muslims more frequently than we may realize. Even kids as young as middle-school-age are learning about Islam in schools.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Jay Smith, Ph.D, a noted evangelist and Christian-Muslim Apologist, who has worked with Muslims for nearly 40 years. Dr. Smith has a Master’s Degree in Islamic Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Ph.D from Melbourne School of Theology.

SPECIAL GUEST: Hatun Tash is an evangelist in London. She engages Muslims through preaching at Speaker’s corner in Hyde Park and in a multitude of other ways.  She has been stabbed, assaulted, and persecuted in a variety of ways for sharing the gospel openly.  She will join us virtually to share her story and what she has learned from her experience in speaking the truth in love to Muslims.

At Engaging Islam, we’ll learn tools for effective evangelism, discuss how to meet and engage with local Muslims, equip parents, and have a Q&A session. This conference aimed at equipping all Christians, including those living and working with Muslims, to share the good news.
