What is our church capacity for seating and for parking? At what percent of capacity would we consider a third service or other expansion?
This is a great question, and one that Pastor Tucker is praying about and working on behind the scenes to find the right time for a potential extra gathering.
Our Sanctuary seats up to 1,100 people, and our Sunday services are averaging around 750, so we have some room to grow. It seems that the element we are coming close to outgrowing is parking. We have 281 regular parking spaces, and 10 spaces reserved for those needing handicap access. Some of the street spaces on our block are currently taken up by construction at Larry Miller, which has impacted our parking situation on Sundays. With that in mind, our Sunday service leadership team meets each week to discuss our flow of service and and adjust as necessary to make sure that we allow enough time for parking to clear out before the next service starts.
