Premarital Step 4

THE PMD PROCESS:

All couples that marry at Calvary Boise, or plan to have a Calvary Boise Pastor officiate at their wedding, must complete premarital discipleship (PMD). We feel this is an effective way to encourage young couples toward the God-given blessing of a biblical family model. The discipleship typically involves six to eight sessions (lasting approximately three months).

STEP 1 - THE PREMARITAL DISCIPLESHIP REQUEST AND QUESTIONNAIRE FORM
This form can be found and printed right here or picked up at the church office. The Premarital Discipleship Request and Questionnaire Form can be submitted to info@calvaryboise.com or dropped off at the church office. We ask that you please complete and submit these forms approximately four months prior to the intended wedding date.

STEP 2 - INITIAL INTERVIEW WITH A PASTOR
The interview is designed to help us become acquainted with you, to discuss some guidelines, and to answer any questions you may have. Following your initial meeting, you will then be asked to decide whether you want to follow through with premarital discipleship at Calvary Boise. If the answer is yes, you will be put in contact with our PMD Coordinators to get you set up with one of our discipleship couples.

STEP 3 – BEGINNING PREMARITAL DISCIPLESHIP
The purpose of the PMD program is to establish a firm biblical foundation on which your marriage relationship can be built. All sessions of the Family Life Preparing for Marriage workbook must be completed prior to the wedding. This book is available and can be purchased at Red Letter Books or if you are out of town it can be found on online through every major book vending site.

STEP 4 - COMPLETION OF PREMARITAL DISCIPLESHIP
The couple is required to meet with their discipling couple every other week for six to eight sessions (lasting approximately three months). We realize that you probably have school and/or job as well as the wedding you are planning. This is why we prefer to do every other week. Depending upon the situation we are able to be somewhat flexible but do not recomend anything more frequent. If this is a necessity, please bring this up when in contact with our PMD Coordinators.

We have made our assessment and have decided we would like to apply for discipleship.
