Premarital Step 1

1. Are you willing to follow Christ and submit to the authority of the Bible?

We hold to the totality of the Bible as the inerrant Word of God; both authoritative and relevant to humanity today. It is the authority for all that we do and how we operate as a functioning church entity. We as followers of Christ are subject to its definition, roles, and expectation as well as its philosophy, revelation, and promotion of God as the Creator and Ruler of the universe. It is His authority that we follow first and foremost. For this reason, we have created this ministry and remind you that in order for someone to begin Calvary Boise's premarital discipleship, a decision to submit to the authority of Christ and His word must come first. Otherwise it would merely be a frustration for you, as you will be expected to keep Christ and His Word (The Bible) in a place of authority over your life in the process of discipleship. If you have never considered this relationship with Christ and are interested in what it is, we encourage you to click this link for more explanation. Should anyone refuse to submit to His teachings and reject His authority or the authority of His Word (The Holy Bible), we will interpret this as a refusal to participate in discipleship at Calvary Boise, as the Bible is the basis for our curriculum. The Bible mentions a few things that we try to soberly and seriously assess as couples present themselves to be married by one of Calvary Boise's pastors or on Calvary Boise's campus.
