DAILY PRAYER REQUESTS

“Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.  And He said to me, My grace if sufficient for you.” –2 Corinthians 12: 8, 9

Even Paul, the great apostle, pleaded for an easier life. It's easy to want everything to suit our comfort levels when all we think about is what surrounds us on planet Earth. But the truth is when life is comfortable, the risk of complacency is real. So remember when trials come, grace is always available. Our God holds our hands and tends to our hurting hearts no matter what we are going through. Focusing on Him and the everlasting life He provides allows us to replace panic and pain with praise.

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Please pray for Rosa’s husband Alex. He has a problem in his leg, and he needs to be close with the Lord. Pray too for her children Rosie and  Gus to grow close to the Lord.

  • Please pray for Brandon, a young man who was in a head-on collision in Minnesota. He was not wearing a seatbelt and is hospitalized with life threatening injuries. Pray that he will survive and that his family will grow to better know the depth of God’s love as a result of this hardship.

  • Pray for Marlon and Becca Brown who are working hard to start a church in Vancouver B.C.  Becca recently had surgery to give her relief from debilitating pain resulting from nerve damage sustained in a hit-and-run car accident. Doctors are now 90% certain that the surgery was unsuccessful. She will need another, even more risky, surgery. Marlon has lost his work visa and therefore his job and they are attempting to get into a new home closer to their church operations.  As they wait for God to reveal what they are to do in the midst of many challenges join them in praying for perseverance, and the joy of the Lord that is their strength.

  • Pray for Diane who recently moved to Colorado. Ask that the Lord will bless her with a new beginning and show her how to grow in her faith.

  • Please pray for the families whose homes and livelihoods are threatened by the wildfire season and for the safety of firefighters who are working to keep people safe all over the western U.S.

The following are anonymous requests:

  • Pray that I continue on my path of recovery and stay sober.  Also that I will continue to understand God and what He has for me and what He wants me to do.

  • Please pray for my family and friends who are struggling with issues to be able to yield them to God and trust Him to take care of all of  them.

  • Pray for my former husband Daniel who is very ill. Also ask that God will show me how to comfort my daughter.
