DAILY PRAYER REQUESTS

JULY 5, 2017

And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God be merciful to me a sinner’. -Luke 28: 13.

After we've been Christians for a while it can be easy to forget that despite our new, reborn status, we still fall short of the glory of God. By great grace and the awesome power of the Holy Spirit, Our Lord continues to reveal the dark places of our soul--places that still need His light. All we have to do is crave spiritual progress. The more access we give the Spirit, the faster we grow into the image of our Savior Jesus. Today, be confident that when you open your heart, He always responds with an abundance of mercy, power and love.

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • We have an anonymous request from someone who really needs a bicycle for work.  Please pray that God will meet this need.

  • Pray for Matthew who needs God’s wisdom and guidance to deal with a current difficulty

  • We have an anonymous request for someone’s son who is facing eviction from his home. Pray too for the six-year-old boy involved in the situation will be protected. Pray that everyone will grow in their knowledge of Jesus and that God will be glorified in this.

  • Please pray for a person who has Parkinson’s disease and is asking for God’s mercy, healing and strength to make it through each day. The pain is increasingly severe.

  • Please pray for the families affected by the tragic house fire in Donnelly earlier this week. Pray that the God of all comfort will surround them with His strength and grace. Pray especially for the lone survivor who lost his wife, child and friends in the blaze.

  • Please pray for Greg Whipple and James Lancaster, who are currently fighting fires in Arizona. Ask that the Lord keeps them safe and that they are able to drive home safely, too.
