DAILY PRAYER REQUESTS

“Do not hide Your face from me: Do not turn your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.”  Psalm 27:9.

At times, God’s face seems hidden from us. We feel like He is absent or maybe disinterested. There is no  truth in those feelings. God doesn't put up barriers between us. However, things in our own lives, such as  bitterness, anger, resentment, and all the other icky attitudes that make us lean more on ourselves than on God's Spirit, can block effective communication. It's rather like modern technology.  When devices are online we have access to a world of information. So too, when our souls are directly in touch with God, we know He is as near as our very breath. Feeling less than connected today? There's a ready solution. God has blessed us with the great gift of repentance. Cry out to Him. Talk to Him about the distance between you. Ask Him for help and stand on the promise that while "God rejects the proud, He gives grace to the humble." (James 4:6.)

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray for Greg.  He is feeling extremely anxious. He feels angry with God at times for what he has gone through. It has been a difficult season for the last four years or so.  Pray for peace and healing.

  • Pray for Anthony.  He is coming out of a life of drugs and he is ready to follow Christ.  He wants to be a better father and son. Pray that he will be liberated from everything that has enslaved him so he can follow the Holy Spirit with his whole heart.

  • Pray for Dan. He has aggressive lung cancer.  Pray that he will be well acquainted with Jesus and rely on him for comfort and peace.

  • Please pray for all who are new to our church family. Ask that they will be able to make deep connections and feel welcomed and encouraged as they learn more about Jesus and His love.

  • Pray for  Kahia, to find the Lord, and to be the mother she needs to be for her daughters.  Pray that she will be able to live her life in the Lord.  She went to court Monday. Pray that she will take a good look at her mistake and change her life. Pray that she will be able to take her children home.

  • Pray for Delia. Her mother currently has custody of her children.  She goes to court in December and there is a chance she might lose her right to her kids. Her mother asks that she be able to keep custody of the granddaughters so Delia can seek the help she needs. Pray too that Delia finds the Lord.

  • This holiday week pray for all who are lonely and sad. Ask that they would look to God. Pray that they would see hope in Jesus. Pray that those of us who know the Lord would be sensitive to the leading of the Holy  Spirit to reach out to those who are feeling alienated at this time of year and bless them with the source of true joy, acceptance and liberty.

  • Pray for the Giving Tree lot operated by Send Hope Now. Proceeds from the sale of its Christmas trees buy Christmas gifts for our native workers in India and their families. Pray that enough volunteers will step forward to work at the lot, that the trees all sell and that those who purchase a tree are blessed by a greater knowledge of the Lord and the work He is doing in this world.
