Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.  II Thessalonians 3:1-2


The absence of faith subjects the human spirit to all kinds of tragedy. Worry and fear cause us to pursue lots of crazy things that make us feel OK---if only for a little while. Instead of focusing on fear it's so much better to think about the great and mighty promises of God, and to remember that He says He replaces our old dangerous spirit of fear, with one of power and love and a sound mind (2nd Timothy 1:7). Fear unleashes irrationality and causes us to live in terror. Faith overcomes, knowing God's plan for us is perfect - - - no matter what. 

Prayer Requests:

• Pray for our pastors and all ministers everywhere.

• Pray for Mattie whose life reflects her extremely difficult, impoverished upbringing.  Ask for God’s great grace and mercy to restore Mattie to Jesus. Pray that the Lord will remove painful memories and keep her from destructive tendencies that have resulted from the sin, compromise, satanic deception and confusion in her life. Pray also for her children Joshua and Sasha. Ask that all of them will be made whole in Christ and granted life everlasting as a result of Christ’s free gift. Pray they will accept Him as Lord and Savior and be restored.

• Ask God to give Will  wisdom and courage to lead his family.

• An anonymous request asks: “Pray for legal matters, joy, happiness and support.  Pray for a significant other, a woman about my own age.  Let Thine will be done with me this week Lord God.”

• Please pray for Jordan to forgive her mother and for their relationship to be restored. Pray that God will soften her heart and draw her into a saving relationship with Jesus. 

• Pray for Angelo’s marriage and his parenting skills. Ask God to help him with his struggles with anger and lusting after both women and money. Pray for his future and his business.

• Please pray for 13-year-old Kali who has been struggling with health issues for several months. She has had two severe bacterial ear infections and now has a mild case of pneumonia. Pray that the stronger medications the doctor recently prescribed will be effective. In addition to her health issues she has also been under intense spiritual attack in the wake of the recent mass shootings. The Texas tragedy has left her with many questions about why this happened in a church. As a result she has been anxious and fearful. Pray that she would be showered with God’s wisdom and grace and that her human fear would supernaturally be replaced by an increased faith in her Savior.
