Prayer

Daily Prayer Requests

  • On behalf of me and my sisters: Please pray for our dad; his back has been bothering him for months and we found out that one of his vertebrae is cracked in half and will most likely need surgery. Please pray for healing…wisdom for doctors involved, and for financial peace and direction over my dad and my mom as they make decisions regarding their options.

  • Please pray for my family. Pray for protection over my granddaughter and pray that God will work in her mother’s life. That forgiveness will come into her heart. Pray that the court will grant a dismissal to us and that when God timing is right my granddaughter will come back into our life.

  • Pray for my son in prison that God will work in his life. God to bring protection over me and my family. Pray that my anxiety and depression can vanish from my life. Thank you.

  • Please pray for me and my children to be back together asap. Pray I will have the strength to get through this tough time.

  • I am having surgery on Friday for my arm, which broke last week. My whole family is getting sick around me. Praying I will not get sick and that my surgery will go forward as planned.

  • Please pray for our missionaries to Canada, Marlon and Becca Brown who sent the following updates and prayer requests:

    • Praise Report- everyone in our house is feeling much better after we all came down with covid. I wanted to especially thank everyone that prayed for me, I am doing a thousand times better.

    • Pastoral Training- I know I have mentioned this before but please continue to pray. I recently laid out a schedule/program for the new leaders I am discipling. Pray for consistency, discipline, and growth for these young pastors and deacons. Pray that as they continue down the path of further ministry, that their passion to serve Jesus would burn brighter and not be extinguished.

    • Possible Location Change- most of our Sunday gatherings are in House Churches, but once a month we have a combined service. Our current meeting place recently notified us that they will now require anyone entering the building to be vaccinated, and that they will be checking for proof of vaccination. Obviously this is concerning, and a mandate that we don’t feel we could comply with, which would force us to move to a new venue. Without going into all the details, it would be very hard top find another place to rent because of the same regulations. We met there this past Sunday, and no one was policing vaccine passports. Please pray that this does not change.

    • Tensions In The Church- tensions are high in Canada, most of you have probably heard about the recent Truck Driver Protests currently going on in our capital and other major Canadian cities. There is growing hostility on all sides of these political issues. Unfortunately this is spilling into the church more and more, and many are drawing a hard line in the sand. Pray for our church and the church at large in Canada, to keep Jesus the main thing. Pray that the political issues, would not overshadow the centrality of the gospel!

    • Calgary Men’s Retreat- I am speaking at an upcoming men’s retreat. I am excited to do this, and feeling well enough to do it; but since I was sick for bit, it has put me behind on lots of other stuff. Pray for grace to catch back up on everything.

    • People to pray for:

    • Judah- he broke his arm playing basketball

    • C- she is going through a difficult time and sadly is withdrawing from all of us who care about her.

    • D- she is battling depression and satisfaction in Christ alone

    • Our Worship Leader Tyler and his wife Steffi just had a new baby (Jaren Isaiah)

    • J- muslim neighbour who has been talking to me more, and asked me to go out to dinner with him
