And having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith.  --Hebrews 10:21-22.

For thousands of years the Jews relied on a human to be their high priest. He was charged with the ongoing, messy job of killing innocent animals to atone for the people's sins. All that ended with the destruction of the Temple in 40 AD (less than 30 years after the crucifixion.) Of course, by then there was no need for ritual sacrifice. Christ paid the price for sin once and for all. He ascended to the throne room of Heaven where He now lives to make intercession on our behalf (Hebrews 7:25.) Think of it! Jesus who is the living Word, who was and is God, became man and lived a perfect life, so He could be the perfect sacrifice. He loves us so much He died for us. And, He now intercedes on our behalf. When we take time to lay aside our busy lives and intercede for others we are following the example of Christ. What a phenomenal experience. What a cause for great joy.

Prayer Requests

• Pray for Cindy who is dealing with a medical issue doctors have little information about. They don’t know how to help her. She understands that God is a healer but it is still very difficult to deal with the problems associated with her condition day-in-and- day-out.

• We are having a hard time selling our house in Texas and are growing concerned about having two mortgages, especially with the added stress of the upcoming holidays. Please pray for us.

• Pray for my husband, son and me as we are going through a rough patch.

• Thank God for working despite my lack of understanding.  I ask for peace as He moves me forward.

• Pray for Ryan and Michelle Chatterton who are moving back to the States after serving with Marlon and Becca Brown at Awake Vancouver. Michelle is due to deliver their new baby soon. Pray for an easy transition after the move and that all their needs will be met.
