Prayer

Daily Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for my dad, for peace, comfort, hope in Jesus, as he grieves the loss of my mom.

  • Please pray for my grandparents salvation.

  • My husband has a very painful auto immune disease that often keeps him in bed. Pray that while he is incapacitated he ponders the brevity of life and returns to faith in Christ. May God be glorified in this circumstance.

  • Please pray for our missionaries to Canada, Marlon and Becca Brown who sent the following updates and prayer requests:

    • Ordination Sunday- we will be ordaining 3 elders/pastors for the first time in history of our church. I have mentioned these guys in previous prayer updates. Please pray for Tyler, Jose, and Joseph. Pray for a fresh anointing and empowering of the Holy Spirit, and pray for the Lord to equip them to lead well.

    • North Burnaby Church Plant- Oct.3 we will be splitting our church into 2 smaller house churches. One will meet in our current location near my house, the other will meet in a new part of city. Pray for this new church plant. Pray that deep relationship would develop and for God to use this new church to reach the surrounding community.

    • This prayer request comes with short story, but please read it because it’s amazing! For the month of September we returned to our old meeting place, The Moberly Arts & Cultural Centre. Because of new COVID guidelines we are required to have a staff member supervise us while using the facility. I have to confess I hated this change at first. We have to pay an extra hourly fee for this supervisor, and their main job is to watch over our every move to make sure we don’t break any of their COVID rules. Again my attitude about this wasn’t good. But last Sunday the most incredible thing happened. Our supervisor came up to me after service, and nervously said, “I liked what you were talking about today.” Guys, I was floored! He had been listening and not watching! This young East Indian man from a Sikh background, was listening to the gospel the entire time, and the Holy Spirit was moving on his heart. Please, please pray for his salvation.
