Prayer

Daily Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for Saul and Angelica Alvarez, our missionaries in Tepic, Mexico. Angelica is studying English with the goal of applying for US citizenship. Please pray for her studies, as well as those of their children.

  • Please pray that God would continue to soften my heart, transform my desires and mold them into His, and to give me grace and strength by His Spirit to be obedient when He calls me out on the waters where I'm uncomfortable.

  • Please pray for my wife's cousin, Bruce (a transitioning transgender (male to female)). He is struggling with his identity, hurt from past relationships, anxiety and depression and isolation. He lives with a roommate in Washington state, but still says he feels alone and depressed; this whole COVID thing has not helped that situation either. Please pray God would meet him in his isolation, anxiety, and depression as the God of all comfort. Please pray that God would remove the scales from Bruce's eyes, heal his broken heart, and reveal Himself to Bruce in a very real, undeniable way. Please pray for God to radically transform Bruce's life and that Bruce would have a softened heart to receive Jesus. Please also pray for my wife as she is only 1 of 2 people that Bruce trusts in the family right now. Pray that God would give her wisdom on what to say, how to say it, and the God would just give her a supernatural love for Bruce in an uncompromising way.

  • Please pray for Ales Lajlar, our missionary in Celje, Slovenia, as he heads up a team working on a Slovene website project to help connect evangelical communities and have a central place for people to find information about churches in Slovenia. Pray that the Gospel would be clearly presented.

  • Please pray for my sister who is having a baby with her boyfriend. This was hard news for our family as this is her second baby with a different man. I believe that my sister is a believer, we accepted Christ at the same time when we were younger and got baptized together, but both walked away. I pray that God would reveal Himself to her in a powerful way that she cannot deny. If this relationship is where God wants her, I pray that God would do a transforming work in both of their lives. Please also pray for my family that we would all still be loving to my sister, showing her kindness, grace, and unconditional love during this time of pregnancy and beyond (especially the Christians in the family). I believe based on the majority of my family’s reactions to the news, my sister feels hurt and disappointed by them and not very loved at times.
