DAILY PRAYER REQUESTS

Give us this day our daily bread.   Matthew 6:11.

Remove falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is allotted to me.   Proverbs 30:8

There is always a danger of going to extremes. Some people are so spiritual that they would take God out of the secular realm and leave it wholly to the devil and the world. Now, it is because Satan claims to be the god of this world that the true God wants us to recognize Him in it and inscribe “Holiness to the Lord” upon everything we touch. Secular things are the only things that the world can understand, and when the unsaved see God meeting us in them, our higher experience and more spiritual testimony speaks to the world forcefully of what God can do in all of life’s circumstances. Let us therefore not hesitate to praise the living God for our bodies, for our business, for our finances, for our joys and sorrows and thereby glorify the Lord of Heaven in the whole realm of nature and Providence.

  • Pray for Chris, who survived cancer with challenging side effects, The chemo and radiation have caused bone disease and other issues.  He is tired and just wants to be healthy to provide for his wife and two sons. Please pray for healing,  peace and provision for this family.  Ask that Chris will lean into Jesus and find rest.

  • Praise God with Kristi and Jason Zweigle. Jason was able to come home from Sierra Leone in time for Thanksgiving. The hearing we prayed for last week went well. Now, the U.S. government is doing due diligence regarding the adoption and are anticipating that everything will be complete within 90 days.  The Zweigles were hoping to have their son home for Christmas but they are trusting in the perfection of God’s timing.

  • Continue to pray for the young woman who has been stalked for more than a year. Today, Monday, is a big day for her. Pray that the truth will prevail and this nightmare will end soon!

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us, and if we know that He hears us, we know we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. - I John 5:14-15
