UPDATES (most current listed first)

FRIDAY, MARCH 27, 2020

In response to Governor Brad Little’s Stay-Home Order, we have temporarily closed our campus. Our hearts still desire to be with and serve you so we created some different ways to stay connected with each other when we’re not physically together. That being said, we’re excited to introduce you to Calvary Boise Online! Please watch the following video to learn more about this exciting new platform.

As our state and country continue responding to COVID-19, we will provide updates at calvaryboise.com/coronavirus. Please continue praying with us through this situation, and periodically check this page for the latest news and updates from us.

We firmly believe that this is a great moment to be beacons of hope as we live out our mission to help all people meet and follow the real Jesus today.

We hope to see you at our Weekend Gathering Online this Sunday at 9:15AM!

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25, 2020

Thank you for your patience as we determine the necessary steps for Calvary Christian School to move forward in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.

We have decided to soft close our onsite classrooms for Kindergarten through 8th grade students through Monday, April 20 in line with the Idaho State Board of Education directive. We were already working on our remote learning plans for these grades, and will continue to do so. Whether through onsite or offsite learning, our education will adhere to a high level of teaching standards while completing the current school year on time so that students can promote to the next grade level. Offsite learning will begin on Monday, March 30 at the direction of each grade’s teacher. We will be in communication with you soon regarding a coordinated supply pickup for kindergarten through 8th grade.

We are still processing the next steps for our Preschool and Extended Program. More definitive plans will be communicated by the end of the week.

To alleviate some of the financial burden during this time, we will extend payments through August 1 upon request. As of March 15 we stopped charging late fees, and will not charge late fees through the end of the school year on all accounts that are past due. If you are in need of a payment extension, please email corinne@calvaryboise.com.

We recognize that there may be many questions, and we will do our best to answer those in this ever-changing environment. Please email your questions to mtiber@ccsboise.org, and we’ll answer them as soon as possible.

We are praying for God’s provision in all ways for our school families and staff. He knows our needs and He will sustain us. Hold fast to the one constant, our Living Hope—Jesus! Hebrews 10:23-24

THURSDAY, MARCH 19, 2020

We hope to see you at our online gathering this Sunday at 9:15AM!

TUESDAY, MARCH 17, 2020

As you may have heard, in light of how our state and country are responding to COVID-19, we have moved all of our weekend gatherings online. In a recent development, the President also asked for all gatherings to be limited to no more than 10 people.

That being said, in an effort to prioritize the health of our church family and our community while also supporting local health officials and government leaders, we are cancelling ALL onsite gatherings (Intro to Home Groups training, classes, Bible studies, youth groups, etc.) until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and your ministry. Although this decision was difficult to make, we believe that it is in the best interest of everyone. We appreciate all of the hard work that you do every week to love the people around us. It is an honor to serve with you.

In all of this we will continue to point to faith in God and not fear in our circumstances, seeking to make prayerful, wise decisions in the safety of wise and Godly counsel. Please continue praying with us through this situation, and periodically check this page for the latest news and updates from us. Our team is working hard to find ways to provide resources for our church family to be able to connect with each other and the people around them without being physically together. We firmly believe that this is a great moment to be beacons of hope as we live out our mission to help all people meet and follow the real Jesus today.

We hope to see you at our online weekend gathering this Sunday at 9:15AM!

SUNDAY, MARCH 15, 2020

As we continue to learn about how our community, country, and world are responding to COVID-19, we want to keep you up to date with what we at Calvary Boise are doing to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

The most recent update is that we have had to make the very difficult decision to close our CCS Elementary, Middle School, Pre-School, and Extended Care Programs effective immediately (3/15/2020) through Spring Break (3/29/2020). This decision has not been made lightly, and is based on the following factors:

-Our care and desire to do all that we can to help slow the spread of COVID-19 throughout our church and community; especially keeping in mind those who are at highest risk;
-Our care and desire to heed advice from the government and health care professionals and officials on the best way to slow the spread of COVID-19;
-Recent updates from school professionals and officials, including school closures throughout the Treasure Valley.

Additionally, we were informed this afternoon that a staff member under the umbrella of our CCS family is currently under quarantine after being tested for COVID-19. The results have not yet come in, so please be praying for this person and their family, as well as our community as a whole.

We understand that this closure may bring difficulties for families, and we are sorry for that, but we firmly believe that although this is a tough decision, it is the right one. We are praying for and through ways we can help alleviate some of the stresses these changes will cause. We will continually be prayerful in all things and seek to do our best to be proactive in keeping you all up to date. Please monitor your email, ccsboise.org, and the Calvary Christian School Boise Facebook page for updates.

In all of this we will continue to point to faith in God and not fear in our circumstances, seeking to make prayerful, wise decisions in the safety of wise and Godly counsel. Please continue praying with us through this situation, and periodically check calvaryboise.com/coronavirus for the latest news and updates from us.

FRIDAY, MARCH 13, 2020

As we continue to learn about how our community and country are responding to COVID-19, we want to keep you up to date with what we at Calvary Boise are doing to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus and other illnesses.

Please watch this update video, then read the following message.

Based on recent updates from the Mayor, Governor, and President, and in line with advice from health care professionals and officials, we have decided to limit any gatherings over 250 people. Because we care about our church family, especially those who are high risk, we will not be meeting on campus for our weekend gatherings, beginning this weekend. We appreciate your continued understanding and flexibility as we navigate the current situation in our world, and look forward to joining you online for our weekend gatherings.

Our live stream will be available starting this Sunday at 9:15AM on the Calvary Boise Facebook page and YouTube. You can access the link on the front page of our website, calvaryboise.com. As always, you can submit prayer requests here and participate in giving through the link at calvaryboise.com.

Please continue praying with us through this situation, and periodically check this page for the latest news and updates from us. Please feel free to share this video with anyone in our church family.

THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 2020

In light of recent news from the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding COVID-19, we want to share with you how we at Calvary Boise are planning to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus and other illnesses.

Please watch this update video, then read the following message.

We have hand sanitizer dispensers throughout campus, and hand washing stations in every restroom. As always, we encourage frequent hand washing and sanitizing. In addition, our facility cleaning crew sanitizes as they clean every night, including our children’s classrooms. As an added precaution, we are temporarily suspending communion during our weekend gatherings.

In addition to precautions we are taking on campus, there are some ways you can help too. If you are sick, we ask that you would stay home and rest. This winter and early spring have had a lot of sickness in the Treasure Valley, and we’d like to see everyone take the time they need to get back to full health, while also ensuring that we don’t spread sicknesses to those who are most vulnerable.

As a reminder, we broadcast a live stream of our Sunday 11:15AM gathering every week on the Calvary Boise Facebook page and YouTube. You can access the link on the front page of our website, calvaryboise.com.

Whether you’re attending our weekend gathering or joining us online, you can submit prayer requests here and participate in giving through the link at calvaryboise.com.

We will keep this page updated as we continue to monitor and pray through this situation.
